So yeah shooting this thing is a ball as it just thuds every time it fires so it feels so powerful it’s so big and it fires hard. Would someone be able to tell me if the Blaster has a dart checker or if it can rev and fire without darts as well? if you got no probelm with the "gun" aspect then these things are in general well worth their money. The motorized Mastodon promises a totally different experience, from the way you load it to the way you fire it.

It required a bit of leading my target and I did have to use a couple of shots to dial in, but a little practice can go a long way with this blaster both in firing mechanics and reloading. If you’ve used any other flywheel blasters it works the same way except it’s MEGA which is somehow cooler! Ours keeps jamming, the magazine won't rotate when jammed so need to use a pipe to push the bullet back into the magazine, this has damaged a couple, not sure why they keep jamming its happening on every discharge of a full magazine. The Mastodon is the third largest Nerf blaster ever, being succeeded by the Prometheus MXVIII-20K and the Titan CS-50. Of course, since this is a flywheel blaster, you have to squeeze the Rev trigger to spin them up before pulling the primary trigger.

I think it’s comfortable, yet it won’t alienate a smaller hand, so I think they have this about right. Where the Mastodon does excel is that its Mega darts offer a very flat initial trajectory when firing parallel to the ground. For the firing hand, the grip is in line with the mega line the grip and is a little oversized compared to the usual Elite grips.
