About this deal

If you like audiobooks, you should definitely listen to this one, because what Chris Nelson has delivered here is perfect.

His latest books include the highly-anticipated KILLING JERICHO (April 2023), the first in a brand new series featuring crime fiction's first Traveller detective, and the acclaimed political thriller for teens, THE OUTRAGE.Even the brief mentions of what it felt like in recovery were enough to make me cry with feeling like I had been seen. I loved Jesse as a character, he was so relatable in his insecurities in an often fickle, body obsessed world and to see him grow was fantastic.

I don’t care if some situations/scenes are a little over the top because everything is so matching and cute. My one gripe is that there is some miscommunication which went on for too long and I found a bit annoying, but it didn't take too much away from my enjoyment. I'm currently not in the mood (or state) for to heavy and dark stuff, so I really appreciate books like this one. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

Preferable on a channel that can be seen by everyone and not those that can afford to spend money on satellite channels. It was for me predictable at times and I knew certain things from the get go but I still enjoyed the ride and getting to know the characters on a deeper level.

Jessie must face all these things, and the underlying equation between Jessie’s psychological battle and the zombie film he was making is beautifully done. For starters, I misread the back of this and totally thought I was getting a different story than I got.

What did keep me reading though was the movie making itself, and Jesse's talent was portrayed incredibly well, without it feeling unrealistic for a teenage boy to be able make and direct the movie with the help of his friends. There is plenty of humour, but also serious and sensitive moments that are handled well - you can definitely tell the author is drawing on. The way that this book addresses the fears of both survival and self-esteem afterwards are so amazing that I was left wondering who read my diary.the premise was wonderful and i do really like the concept but the execution just wasn’t my favourite sadly . Jesse, Cas and Morgan are more than best friends, they’re soulmates, even better they’re all masters of their crafts - directing, filming, acting. This is a story that has such charm to it that it simply pulls you in without your notice so it can strike you right where it hurts the most.
