Signature Entertainment is handling the release in the UK, which seems to be the first time Signature has unleashed a physical 4K disc. A glimpse at upcoming UK Steelbook release dates until early 2024: here’s what’s getting the fancy treatment and when. Feared, loved and reviled, Art stalks his prey on All Hallows Eve, a night when all should fear a killer clown with an unforgettable and imaginative way of killing his victims. The presentation is bright enough but with high contrast, and the overall quality of the presentation reveals the film’s meager budget, while at the same time showcasing Art and the carnage he inflicts quite well. Ahead of that though, we learn that the first two films are getting a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release for the first time.

In this two film collection witness Art cut his way through the inhabitants of small town America one by one.Terrifier and Terrifier 2 are coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for the first time, both landing in early 2024.

While Terrifier is definitely for a certain genre audience, this Blu-ray package should please that audience with flying colors. More titles in the Dread Central Presents line are coming down the pike, some much classier than Terrifier by comparison, but their debut release is a good one for those with a certain kind of taste in horror.The killer and the gore are the stars of the show which, unfortunately, makes the film less involving and not all that exciting. The Super Mario Bros Movie is getting its UK disc release this summer, with a mix of DVD, Blu-ray, 4K disc and collector's options. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at ourwarehouse. Signature Entertainment are set to release a Terrifier 2 Blu-ray and a Terrifier Boxset containing both films later this October in the UK.

Black levels are deep and the color palette is aggressively graded to have more of an orange and green look (it does take place on Halloween night after all). So if paying obvious nods to horror films of the past interests you, Terrifier offers up a nasty little slasher that hits all of the marks genre-wise, but very little otherwise.

The rear speakers are often reserved for ambience and score, more so than spatial activity, and dialogue is clean and clear and relegated to the front for the most part. For the week that ended on December 31st, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Halloween Ends finally took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only chart from Paramount Home Media Distribution's Top Gun: Maverick, ending the sequel's eight weeks in a row on top of that . The incredibly fancy (and, truth be told, a little more expensive) Steelbook format is the only choice for those needing a physical media release that doubles as a table tennis bat in a pinch.
