How much strong language is too much? What's the big deal? What are your and your family's values when it comes to swearing? Defrosting Ice King: Kodiak is a surly guy, fully resistant to working with Ambrose unless absolutely necessary...at first, that is. this was the most breaktaking sci-fi book i’ve read. it’s introspective, thrilling, and very queer. it’s about love that perseveres in spite of true loneliness. that transcends space and time through desperation and unimaginable grief. that remains tender, even when when circumstances threaten to make you harsh. so i don’t read a lot of sci-fi

for months after finishing tdou, i searched for words to convey the extent of my love for it, to do justice to how deeply kodiak and ambrose have burrowed into my heart. how i did not anticipate for this book to impact me so deeply but not a day goes by where i don’t think about it. and yet, only elevator music.Additionally, there is a multinational corporation that seems to have incredible power on Earth: The Cusk Corporation. Federation and Dimokratia (and with today's real world political conflicts in mind: bad tongues would compare them to the US and Russia). When they turned to outright suicide (or rather, murder of their future copies) I was left speechless and yet deeply impressed how that worked out for Ambrose and Kodiak, to give them the most fulfilled life that they could have, living in the vast expanse of space, on 'a dust mote floating in a stadium' as Ambrose once called it.

Insanity used to be a stranger that lived on the other side of the world. Now it's moved next door. It's only a matter of time until it becomes shipmate, lover, self.”Despair Event Horizon: When Kodiak and Ambrose kill almost all the clones, they note OS screaming as they do. It goes silent in the immediate aftermath, and in the subsequent years of their lives Ambrose describes it as docile, with the two of them no longer disposable.
