About this deal

Namely, I felt that he comes across as having a great deal of empathy, the underlying cause of which is probably a high EQ. There is nothing more off-putting than picking up a book that is 4 inches thick and has tiny writing.

The advice, approved by healthcare professionals, is quick to read, easy to understand and simple to digest, delivered in short, unambiguous bullet points and, no-nonsense rules – and, pretty unarguably, spot on. Believe it or not, there is actually a smaller pocked edition of the book which I also have, but I will come onto that later. This little gem, however, has been more useful than anything else - it's full of practical advice and goes into detail about the things that matter, like nappy changing - I had no idea, and with covid taking away stuff like antenatal classes this was a lifesaver. A lot of things are quite difficult at the moment, since lockdown was announced on the 23 rd March due to the coronavirus a lot of us have found ourselves at home with bored kids who are in dire need of entertainment.Using genuine and faux military slang makes the book a touch more fun and keeps things light-hearted for potentially stressed readers. Have you ever stopped to see how many ingredients are in some processed foods (which is worrying enough, but when you can’t pronounce them, you know you’re really in trouble)? The headlines here in the UK are dominated by stories of horse meat ‘contaminating’ British meat products. Biography: Neil Sinclair is an ex-Commando, qualified childminder and full-time dad to three young troopers!

He's engaged, he spends time with his kids, caring for them – and he gets the information he needs to do it. Then he felt a hand on his back and he was lifted up until he was able to find his footing and scramble up the beach. The people who stand to benefit the most from this book are new parents who have no previous exposure to babies. Any dad in a rush or who doesn’t have the patience or desire to read hundreds of pages can still get the answers they need. I found the sections on how to survive the first 24 hours and how to pack a bag for taking the baby out particularly useful.

The “mission” of being a dad is quickly explained and is broken down into key chapters, each of which is given an army based title – my favourite being “On Manoeuvres: Transporting The Troops”.
