About this deal

If you are looking for a unique and fun gift idea for any child who loves teddies or Build-A-Bear I would really recommend considering the stuffing station as I think all children will enjoy the experience of making their own teddy bear! Personalising each of the bears by inserting a heart and adding in one/some of the cardboard accessories was sweet. What I immediately love about this toy is the fact that no batteries are needed, a big plus from a parent point of view. Attach one of the bears to the side of the stuffing station (see photo below) and start turning the handle. Even though there are only 2 t-shirts included in the kit, she must've got her bear changed at least 10 times in the space of about 10 minutes.

There are two bags of stuffing included for the two small bears and you do use the full amount for each bear. It was quite tricky to keep the bear attached / hooked onto the nozzle of the stuffing station where the stuffing comes out. The only extra thing we had to use was a hair pin to open up one of the bears after we had realised that we had forgotten to put the heart in. The Build-A-Bear stuffing station is a kit that allows your children to make two of their very own Build-A-Bear cuddly friends from the comfort of their own home. Make a wish on one of the Build-A-Bear hearts and seal it inside so your furry friend feels the love.I found that twisted it on rather than pulling it on felt more secure, your child will probably need help with this bit as it can be a bit fiddly. The only other thing that bothered me about the stuffing station is that once you have made the two bears that come with the stuffing station it is kind of redundant unless you go out and spend more money on more bears to stuff and fill. The bear will pop off occasionally but this is a sign for you to use your fingers to push the stuffing into smaller areas of the bear such as the hands and legs. The Build-A-Bear Stuffing station is a kit that brings the magical experience of making your own teddy bear into your home. Thank goodness because my kids were eager to get started, I'll be honest they haven't been this excited about a toy in a long time!

We tested out a Build-a-Bear Stuffing Station which features two different designs (of bear) and everything you need to create and personalise your own teddy bear at home.It is very easy to use, the instructions are clear and precise and because there are no batteries required you can get to work as soon as the stuffing station is taken out of the box and even that is simple, no fiddly tags to contend with. When the bear pops off, you manipulate the stuffing with your fingers into the arms, legs and head of the bear, before putting back on the machine to add more stuffing. Eva found this quite difficult and i'll admit I did too, until I realised that you have to almost 'screw it on' by twisting it around the nozzle. It’s really important before you repeat the process to ensure you have pushed all the stuffing right to the tips of the arms, legs and head before continuing.

I am a mum of two (aged 13 and 8) and I started Tantrums to Smiles with the aim of being able to help others by sharing lots of hopefully helpful information, advice and reviews. At first I was worried Lamb would need a lot of assistance, but he actually managed to do most of it himself. Each time the bear pops off you can move the stuffing around into the legs, arms and head and once all the stuffing is out of the station your bear will be perfectly plump.

It includes a stuffing station, 2 Build-A-Bear cuddly friends in different designs, stuffing, t-shirts, plastic hearts, birth certificates and cardboard accessories. It didn’t matter massively as my boys liked twisting the lever and we ended up just taking the bear off and stuffing him with what was coming out of the nozzle, but in theory, it did make the stuffing station slightly redundant as we could have stuffed it from the bag directly! I’ve always wanted to make my own bear as it’s such an important companion when your child so to create your own bear is amazing. We did not realise until doing the second bear, that it is best to almost “screw” the bear on to the side. I managed to convince the gremlin to not open the box and wait until the weekend and I knew we would be able to get some pictures of her.
