Black Afgano opens on my skin with a blast of coffee and oud, followed quickly by tobacco, fruited raspberry and cherry notes, labdanum, and incense. Black Afgano is more woody, earthy and the oud is stronger than Pardon , where this provides more dark chocolate notes. Totally agree with many reviews that you can get yourself a bottle of Encre Noire and smell "dark" for a lot less, but to me this isn't really what the fragrance smells of.

Unfortunately in the dry down it starts to smell unpleasant to my nose which put me off of using the perfume often. The scent profile is somewhat linear, with the exception of some subtle changes in the detection of agarwood in this fragrance, but other than that the fragrance is extremely well-blended and very cohesive.
