About this deal

I too enjoy having a more fun presentation sometimes, and even I love Arya's romantic serenades, but with HE6SE, I know that they sound natural, they sound live, they sound alive. This doesn't mean they will hit the sweet spot for absolutely everyone, but if you want this kind of presentation, they should really hit the spot. This system is stiff to begin with and very hard to find the right strength to adjust it to your liking. And if you know any of my previous reviews, you know I love to listen loud, in fact so loud, that something like Ananda Bluetooth is one of the very few BT headphones that gets close to my needs in terms of loudness when it comes to Bluetooth headphones. Comparisons: I can’t really think of anything that comes close to the engaging yet well balance nature of the HE6SE.

g. have more bass, or sub-bass, or treble, or whatever), or if you think that more power will make them change in any significant way… then think again, and think harder. I also got the Drop THX AAA 789 and the source is a Gustard X16 fully balanced DAC with two ESS 9068AS chips. Design is more difficult to evaluate, at least from an aesthetic perspective; from a functional perspective it has issues which also have repercussions on comfort. The HE6se V2 makes an excellent headphone because it has great note definition, staging, imaging, and resolution. Thror could be driven, and I'm not saying you will, but it could be driven from half of smartphones on the market at the moment of writing this review.HIFIMAN HE6SE is really hard to drive, so HIFIMAN designed an adapter that lets you power HE6SE directly from a power or integrated amplifier, in other words, using a speaker amplifier to power HE6SE. Of course, that was a bad comparison, to put it differently, when I was using DX220 with AMP7, which was the highest power module, together with Sundara, I would mostly crank the volume at the maximum possible, and still have a great time, so you get the point. There is a reason that they came out with Geshelli V2, which is a 2w per channel amp because people realized they need more power to drive cans like this. I may be a bit jaded though by reviews and videos for every headphone and tech product starting with 2 paragraphs of opening the damn box… damn you Apple and that kid with all the toys. Midrange: The midrange is clean and clear, and always perfectly centered in the mix, with excellent layering.

Maybe we should just do away with the term “unboxing experience” and stick to things that matter like good accessories… I can get behind that. It’s an experience that takes you to another dimension, if just for a little while, making you forget of everything else. HEXV2 treble is even more airy and more natural and I imagine Ananda and Arya would be the same, both for considerably less money than the HE6SE. To my amazement they survived being worn in rain, dust, full sunlight and being thrown in a backpack.

They can be a bit cold, especially if you're looking for more bass, but otherwise, I think the signature and the tonal balance is pretty good. After having the HE6se V2 for some time, sometimes I fell into the thinking that perhaps the gear I had wasn't powerful enough to power the HE6se V2, but after more thorough listening with the HE6se V2, I found that the Feliks Audio Euforia MK I can power it beautifully. Now with HE6SE all those tests won't really be necessary, as they are a headphone made to be worn inside.
