About this deal

In terms of picture quality, the C32G75T is better in a few areas as it gets brighter and has better reflection handling, and even though it has a quicker overall response time, the S28AG70 has better motion handling because there's less black smearing.

We tested the 32-inch Samsung Odyssey G7, and except for the resolution and size, the results are also valid for the 27-inch model, known as the Samsung Odyssey G7 27. As the recommended overdrive setting is 'Standard', you won't have to adjust the overdrive setting if the frame rate of your game drops. An important thing to consider for most users is how a screen will perform out of the box and with some basic manual adjustments. The Samsung uses a VA panel and is a better choice for a dark room, as it has much better contrast and better black uniformity.Although many of the OSD settings in the ‘Picture’ menu were now locked, thankfully we still had control over the brightness and so could set this sRGB mode up to a comfortable level. The Odyssey G7 has much better ergonomics, better build quality, higher peak brightness, and supports HDR. Without local dimming, there's noticeable backlight bleed, and we took a high exposure photo to exaggerate what it looks like, but it isn't really what you see in person. For high refresh rate gaming, VA panels were a little bit later than other technologies when it came to offer 240Hz support. Its 32-inch screen offers you enough space to multitask with different windows open, and you see plenty of detail thanks to its 4k resolution.

We would like to make a point that for many people this won’t be an issue at all, and many may not even notice it. Again these results were pretty similar to the recently tested Samsung C27RG50, Samsung C49RG90 and Lenovo Legion Y44w-10 which feature Samsung VA panels as well. Also, the monitor has an RJ45 Ethernet port, so you can connect it directly to the Internet for streaming. The ASUS has better viewing angles because it uses an IPS panel, but it doesn't perform as well as the Samsung in dark rooms because it has a low contrast ratio.

They both have curved VA panels with a 1440p resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, and we even noticed similar issues between both monitors, like flickering with VRR enabled or the VRR not working at 60Hz.

The Samsung is a 16:9 model available in a 27-inch or 32-inch size, while the LG is a 21:9 model that only comes in a 34-inch size. cd/m 2 at this default brightness setting, giving us a strong 2031:1 contrast ratio which is an obvious strength of the VA panel technology although quite a bit lower than the specified 2500:1. The newer version of this monitor, the Samsung Odyssey G7 S28AG70, has a 4k resolution, so the pixel density is even higher. There's also a sharp cut-off at the monitor's peak brightness, resulting in a loss of fine details in bright scenes. The CIE diagram on the left of the image confirms that the monitors colour gamut (black triangle) extends a considerable way beyond the sRGB reference space (orange triangle), mostly in green and red shades. IPS panel delivers clear colours and a wide 178-degree viewing angle for clarity from any viewpoint. Since most users won’t have access to hardware colorimeter tools, it is important to understand how the screen is going to perform in terms of colour accuracy for the average user. Unlike other models in the Odyssey G7 lineup released in 2022, this one is limited to a 144Hz refresh rate and doesn't feature Mini LED backlighting like the higher-end Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75.

If you want a high-end 4k monitor, the S32BG75 is the better choice, but the C32G75T is better if your graphics card can't take full advantage of the 4k resolution. Overall, the feature does little to improve the picture quality in dark scenes and make blacks deeper. They share many similarities, including a fast response time, and while the Samsung has a faster response time at 60Hz, the Gigabyte has lower input lag with 60Hz signals. On the other hand, the Sony looks better in HDR thanks to its higher peak brightness, but both monitors have low contrast. We would have rather had a flat format screen in this size to be honest, leaving the curve for the Odyssey G9 49″ mega-wide model where it is much more useful and relevant. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 S32BG75 is a higher-end version of the Samsung Odyssey G7/G70B S32BG70, so it's better overall.
