First of all, Cherry is a very sweet and good hearted person but she didn't really come off as a strong character. Honey and Cherry have many fights, mainly because she suspects that Cherry and Shay are becoming too close to each other. Yes, she did have a tendency to tell some white lies and be rather economical with the truth but she didn't do any of it to be mean - it was done more as a way to fit in and be liked.
