While we haven't tested the TV ourselves, the specs are surprisingly generous for the price tag. You're getting an IPS 4K panel, which tend to provide wide-viewing angles, great colour accuracy and decent contrast levels.

Models are available with built-in digital satellite and Freeview tuners, built-in DVD players and even with built-in card readers so that photos can be viewed on a big screen. As with an analogue television, a digital receiver has to be re-tuned every time the location where it is being used changes. As long as the aerial is receiving signals, this is a simple task and should not take you more than a few minutes. Depending on how ‘down with the kids’ you are, you may be familiar with Bluetooth speakers, which can be linked up to smartphones and tablets.

I’ve had one of these for years and they work really well. You plug part of it into an HDMI port on your TV and the other half into your laptop or computer. Then whatever is shown on your computer can be mirrored onto the TV. So as long as you can get a good wifi connection on your computer then you are sorted. Freeview I know I can't receive Ch 4 or 5 at present, but what's the potential for these channels to become free to air in the near future?

TV seems to be able to record, it has a usb port and sd/mmc card slot. Ive tried a small USB flash drive (2gb) just to see if it would do anything but the format failed to work and I couldn't get it to try and record to the sd card. Ive seen others say that the TV connects via USB to a hard drive which I assume would be a laptop style one in a usb cradle. Coud someone confirm if this is right or will the TV record to a Flash drive and if so what capacity and format is needed? If you’re looking for a smart TV that allows you to log in to your favourite streaming services and is also relatively light in weight, we think this 21.5-inch Avtex could be the best caravan TV for you. To be fair, Freeview can also have issues with poor signal quality due to lots of dense vegetation and buildings in the way. A DVB-T receiver or set top box is essential for reception of digital television via an aerial. You cannot use a satellite receiver with a terrestrial set-up and vice versa. However, most of these USB connections provide sufficient power to run a pair of PC stereo speakers.It is the receiver only[1]. To make it work you would need to add a dish + LNB + the cable to link it to the receiver. You will be able to watch lots of UK channels (hundreds - 90% rubbish), but not at the moment Ch4 & 5. You get all the local BBC and ITV area channels, plus the extra BBC and ITV ones - but you only get 4 & % with a Sky system plus a working card. It worked superbly during this years annual hol, so Iwill not be bothering with analgue or digital terrestial again.
