About this deal

A rivet is a mechanical fastener used for joining two panels, or multiple objects together. It is made up of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head at one end. To install the rivet, the end without the head is inserted through a hole in both of the objects to be joined and the head is then hammered or pressed onto the exposed end. This expands the shaft, creating a tight and secure joint. Canoe Clips are a low-cost fastener, designed to work in the same way as a rivet or a screw. The design of these clips means they are easier to remove than other rivets. The range features a variety of styles, including those with a fully hollow anchor, or those that have a partially hollow anchor. Our Quarter Turn Fastener range is available in a choice of materials, including; Acetal Co-Polymer, Acetal RMS-14, Polyoxymethylene (POM), Nylon 6/6 and Polyamide. When specifying PEM fasteners in your sheet metal from us, the amount of work per fastener is reduced to the time it takes to thread a nut or bolt. Consistency

This Rivet Gun is suitable for use with Pop Rivets. The combination setting tool is ideal for one-hand applications. The single handed operation allows you to decrease the pressure required for riveting by up to 40 percent. This is achieved because operating force increases as a users hand closes around the lever; this force is fully taken advantage of by way of the special lever with an ergonomic design.

Premium Quality Rivet Material Options

Solid Rivets Standard solid rivetsconsist of a solid shaft with a head on one end. During installation, the headless end is deformed with a hammer or a rivet gun, securing the rivet to the fastened materials. In most cases, rivets require a pre-drilled set of holes that line up perfectly in the workpieces. Although this isn’t a problem when you make your parts with our precision lasers, it also involves selecting the correct rivets and in many cases, purchasing specialized equipment to install them. Our Pop Riveting range is strong, but lightweight. It offers good electrical insulating properties, as well as resistance from vibraton, abrasion and corrosion. Plastic rivets are suitable for use in a variety of applications, including the automotive, and construction industries. They are also used in electronics applications and also widely used in medical and consumer products too. What are the benefits of choosing plastic rivets? Barbed rivets- commonly called pop rivets, they ensure fast and easy installation and can be applied to various materials such as wood, metal and rubber If you’ve ever worked with pop rivets, you know that whether it’s user error, component variability, or misalignment, there can be significant variability in the quality rivet-to-rivet. Applications of Rivets and Fasteners Threaded insert and rivet nuts which are applied like a classic rivet integrate seamless, strong, and permanent threading in fragile sheet materialsNylon Rivet Snaps Nylon Rivet Snapsare special rivets designed for light-duty fastening applications. Nylon rivet snaps are often used to join plastic sheets, fiberglass, and composition materials. Suitable for light to medium duty applications; a Pop Rivet can be used in place of adhesives, screws, nuts and bolts. Pop Fasteners permanently fix two materials together. They are ideal for thin applications, and suitable for materials including; woods, metals and plastics.

Our range offers good electric insulation, as well as vibration, abrasion and corrosion resistance. They can be used on electronic, automotive or machine applications. Canoe Clips insert neatly into panel holes, and are ideal for long-term signs and displays. They can be removed and reused on occasion; however, thanks to their extra firm grip, they are better suited to applications that do not change very often. If high strength is critical, high carbon steel solid rivets can be used, which require heating to “cherry red” temperature and then setting with a pneumatic rivet tool. Rivets and rivet nuts are used extensively in manufacturing and industrial applications. Rivets provide a low-profile solution for permanent fastening, making them ideal fasteners for applications that require a smooth finish. Rivets are popular fasteners within the following industries: Tubular (or semi-tubular) rivets resemble a solid rivet with a hole drilled partway through the tail end of the shaft. They are installed in the same way as solid rivets–with access to both sides of the fastener being required–but only require about a quarter of the force to set the rivet. Because the tubular rivets only deform at the hollow end, rather than throughout the length of the shaft, they can be used for pivot joints. Flush Rivet Easily installed, with a hammer or with a special riveting tool. Pop Riveters are inserted into a tight panel hole, passing through the two materials being riveted. Jay-Cee is proud to supply our customers with the rivets you need. As a global distributor of premium fastening products, Jay-Cee is large enough to manage your global fastening needs while providing personalized support for your small projects. Our priority is to ensure you have the best fasteners you need for your application. This is the great-granddaddy of all other rivets, consisting of a simple shank or shaft with a head at one end. Solid rivets come in various profiles to fit the application; the pan head, the domed head, the low profile mushroom head (no, we aren’t making things up), and the flat head. The solid rivet is sturdy and no-nonsense, and very few fastening methods are as consistent in their ability to hold two materials together. Blind Rivet Rivets are intended to offer awesome flexibility, enabling them to fasten wood, metal, plastic and substantially more. They are especially suited for restricting delicate, thin materials and generally fragile connections. Most common, everyday rivet applications include: In the DIY world, by far the most popular type of rivet is the pop rivet, mainly because it can be used when you only have access to one side of your work. The biggest downside? Unless you feel like taking a drill to your shiny new project, that rivet is permanent. Solid rivets, or the original rivet. These solid fasteners resist water, vibration, tampering, and other severe conditions. Another benefit of SendCutSend inserted hardware, along with our tapping service, is that they are always installed square (or perpendicular to the mounting surface). This is particularly difficult to accomplish in the home shop without specialized equipment.
