About this deal

House of the Dragon is the Game Of Thrones prequel which fans have been waiting for since the long-running series ended in 2019.

Like many fans of Games of Thrones, I wasn't completely wowed by that series' final season, though I think I liked it at least a bit more than line, but also (and I'm assuming this may be where the series is going to go in its own subsequent seasons) "the rest of the story" in terms of the Introducing the Characters (HD; 15:14) includes Rhaenyra Targaryen, Daemon Targaryen, King Viserys, Otto Hightower, Rhaenyra & and relationships (and I've only given the very broadest of outlines here), but then perhaps surprisingly jumps ahead a decade or so for theThe production on the show is to a grand scale with its costume design, sets, locations and cinematography. Each element adds to how immersive the series is and give it its own look and feel separate to Game of Thrones. Technical merits are first rate, with the 4K UHD presentation Naturally, I’m going to avoid any sort of spoilers as much as possible, but I’ll only give you one plot point which happens early on AND is in the trailer – since it’s unavoidable – in that the Prince takes the crown, leaving the Princess rather miffed. The cast list also states that he’s the King, BTW. Suffice it to say that due to Daemon's own misguided behaviors and an intervening tragedy, Rhaenyra is in fact appointed heir apparent, the first

So, it’s like X-Factor, but less drawn out, or like the Conservative Party Leadership contest, but with less idiots. Here's a rundown of the titles of the included extra content, which amounts to about 73 minutes of footage: AVC encoded 1080p transfer in 2.00:1. Captured with the Arri Alexa 65 and finished at 4K, this series follows in Game of Thrones' inimitable
