The RC Pro is bigger and brighter. While both DJI RC Pro and DJI RC have a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, the DJI RC Pro supports screen brightness up to 1,000 nits versus just up to 700 nits on the DJI RC. The Mavic 3 Pro Series includes DJI’s first tri-camera flagship drones with multiple focal lengths. It uses the same wide-angle 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera as Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Classic. Compared with Mavic 3, it adds a 1/1.3-inch CMOS 70mm medium tele camera with 48MP effective pixels. It also has an upgraded 1/2-inch CMOS 166mm tele camera with 12MP effective pixels, providing more flexible aerial photography perspectives while enhancing creative efficiency and freedom. The DJI RC's screen is 5.5 inches. The screen is not as bright as the RC Plus or original Smart Controller, coming in at 700 cd/m².And for folks seeking to connect it with an HDMI, the debate between DJI RC Pro vs DJI RC is easy because the cheaper counterpart has no video output port. The cheaper version also only offers storage via your own external microSD card (with no option for internal storage available). The 70mm medium tele camera is equipped with a 1/1.3″ CMOS sensor. Compared with the wide-angle Hasselblad camera, the 70mm medium tele camera captures footage with a stronger sense of spatial compression, which can better capture the relationship between the subject and the surroundings, highlight the subject in a complex environment, and create a visual focus in the image or video. Additionally, the medium tele camera supports Night video mode (Night Shots), presenting brilliant nighttime scenes at a 70mm focal length. Given it’s far cheaper price tag, the DJI RC is obviously better for budget-conscious drone pilots. But that’s not the only reason why the RC might actually be better overall, and that’s size. There are no external antennas on the DJI RC (they’re built-in) which adds to how much more compact it is.
