About this deal

Presented in a grey glass bottle, this Issey Miyake men’s fragrance makes a perfect present, whether it’s for a friend, relative, or partner. Not only is it a masterpiece, I’ve been trying super hard to find a fragrance that accompanies it during this summer heat, and I just can’t find something as good except for L’Eau D’Issey PH Sport—which y’all must get by the way. When I first bought this I had a bit of a hard time wearing this because the citruses (yuzu) were a bit sharp to me. It smells like yuzu in the first 5 minutes, then flowers for the next hour or so, and then smells like vetiver.

I gave it another try~ this time spritzing it into the air and walking into the mist of fragrance~ and I must say I like it better. You should probably know that my signature scent is Polo Sport which many people complain of as being too harsh and citrusy and stingee (is that a word? Reminiscent of a spicy cologne but it’s got its own signature, something very different and sexy about it. This is his signature scent and so it was probably the first fragrance I have ever smelled and every time I smell it, It just gives me comfort and homey vibes thanks to that. The open is simply citrus on steroids, but wait several minutes and its lush flowery tones start to perk up your 'nosebuds' (is that even a word? There is the one thing that you can say about L'Eau D'Issey Pour Homme, It is one of the scents that will get you instantly noticed. On the plus side (and much to her annoyance) it really did catch the nose of the opposite sex (hey, she bought it so she wasn't allowed to complain). To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It's a complex scent that makes my brain occupied of what notes it detects every time a little breeze blows into my nose. For years it was my signature scent and I’d gone through a few 100 ml bottles over the course of early / mid 2000s.

The latter part of the drydown is nice with a creamy sandalwood at about hour 3, but by then it's been a skin scent for an hour already.I get 1 hour performance at most that is rapidly fading away, after that it becomes an intimate skin scent. To me it's the perfect thing to wear if you are dressing casual nice, but not necessarily a "gym" type of blue cologne. If there is anyone, anyone at all who can, somehow beyond reason, help me find the L'eau D'issey I love once again, please shoot me a message.

There's a certain warmth that comes from the base notes without ever becoming sweet and taking over the initial citrusy scent led by yuzu. There's too much torment for me to appreciate or notice the topnotes but the florals that come later are rather nice. To those who know the early batches, if you spray too much then you will be treated with the cockroach smell haha but spray it conservatively and its so refreshing. A colleague I’d met from New Zealand was rockin this juice and the first thing I did after getting home and unpacking was take the drive out toward Boston to find this juice. I'm pretty much willing to go to any lengths to get the attention of women but this is a bit too far.Sure, I picked it up a couple of times and gave it a whiff here and there but I never gave it the attention it truly deserved. I REALLY wanted to like this~ and thought I was going to like it~ as I really love the vibe of the description and bottle. I get good sillage for 3 solid hours, and I can pick it up off my skin all the way until the evening. If you spray it from further away you get a more balanced and evened out scent, letting the other notes come out. If it wasn't for that, this could be a nice scent for a guy wanting to stand out and he could do so subtly.
