About this deal

I have some cluttered areas. Do I have to buy a eufy with boundary strips or the other models have no-go zones too? I would suggest getting the L70 Hybrid as it is Lidar-guided, has a bigger battery and is the most efficient among the others which helps it to finish cleaning faster. It also has the strongest suction which definitely helps with pet hair. The Eufy RoboVac G30 Verge is a round-shaped vacuum cleaner with a total dust capacity of 0.6 liters. It is not designed for wet mopping. The device can be remotely operated, including smartphone remote support, allowing users to control and schedule cleaning sessions from a distance. When you open the app while the robot’s working, it shows how many square feet the robot has covered and the duration of that cleaning session. You can also see how much battery it has left. After those 88 minutes, the dustbin was completely filled with dust, dog hair, crumbs, and feathers that must have escaped my pillows. My floors looked much cleaner, and my carpets had perfect vacuum lines on them.

Eufy has added some significant navigation skills to the G30 Edge and they’re worth having. The G30 Edge isn’t as sophisticated at map building and learning about its environment as rival models like the Neato Botvac D7 Connected but the basic mapmaking displayed here is better than the trundle and bump navigation we’ve seen on Eufy’s cheaper models, such as the 15C. This robot vacuum also uses a brushless motor. That isn’t to say that there are no brushes on it; it still uses side brushes and a brush roll to collect dirt and debris. The motor, however, is brushless, so the G30 is much quieter than most vacuums or robot vacuums during operation despite its maximum of 2000Pa suction power. It’s so quiet, in fact, that the noise level of the RoboVac G30’s wheels on the floor is comparable to the sound of its motor. Eufy promises that, at 55-68dB, it’s about as loud as a microwave oven, and I have to agree. If you like to turn your robot vacuum before quiet times, you’ll really appreciate its super-low operating volume—and if, like me, you have a pet that’s a little anxious, they’ll love it, too. The G30 is only slightly cheaper than the G30 Edge so it seems a worthwhile upgrade to utilise the no-go zones feature, especially considering it comes with boundary strips included. Apart from this differentiation, the vacuums are mostly identical. If you run the robot with mopping attachments on, it would do mopping and sweeping at the same time. If you remove the water tank, the robot would only do vacuuming. So basically with mopping attachments, the robot does cleaning 2-in-1 (vacuum + mop). If you have carpets, you'd have to use virtual boundaries only the G30 Hybrid supports. Only the eufy 30, 30C, 30C MAX, 35C, G30 Edge, and Verge come with magnetic tape. The difference between them is app support and the length of the boundary strips.

How does this robot vacuum that can mop as well as vacuum compare to rivals from Ecovacs and Roborock?

Suction Power. The Eufy RoboVac 30C has stronger suction. The 15C is suitable for hard floors and some thin carpets. If you have low-pile carpets or pets, get the eufy RoboVac 30C;

The EufyHome app is great. It offers an impressive amount of control for a vacuum that doesn’t have room-by-room app support, including speaker volume control, suction level customization, and scheduled cleaning options. However, the physical body of the Verge feels too fragile for my personal preferences. As with all of Eufy’s best robot vacuums, it is suited to both low and medium-pile carpet. Whilst it’s able to handle rugs fairly well, it’s not recommended if you have high-pile carpet throughout your home.The Hybrid represents the mopping option. The robots with “Hybrid” in the naming can do mopping and sweeping and is suitable for both surfaces, hard floors, and low-pile carpets. The RoboVac 15C and 30C support wi-fi. Because of the Wi-Fi support, the eufy 15C and 30C are compatible with Alexa-enabled devices and Google Home. With the app, you can switch between cleaning modes, start/stop, and schedule the robot. The main differences: The eufy RoboVac G40 is the only one with an allergycare filtration system and a self-emptying dustbin. Those are two similar models that have the strong suction power of 2,000 Pa suction and are almost look-alike. Both are great for homes with pets and thin carpets. The randomly-bouncing models most likely would not cover the whole cleaning area unlike the ones with mapping.

Only the eufy G10 Hybrid and L70 Hybrid come with mopping attachments. The G10 was not designed for carpets or big homes. The mopping feature is nice to have but not necessary. The eufy RoboVac G20 is a vacuum only and does not have boundary strips. It has a bigger dustbin, suitable for low-pile carpets, and delivers 2,500 Pa which is more than the G10 Hybrid and G30 (+ modifications) do. Suitable for medium-pile carpets. The eufy RoboVac G30 Verge is one many vacuums offered by eufy. This model features 2000Pa of suction power with optional BoostIQ Technology, so it’s able to clean at Standard, Turbo, and Max suction levels—or use BoostIQ to automatically switch between Standard and Turbo suction based on your home’s needs. Its app offers Wi-Fi connectivity with smart home integration, as well as app control, scheduling, and in-app cleaning history.The Eufy RoboVac G30 Hybrid looks very similar to the brand’s other robot vacuum cleaners. Sporting a familiar circular design, complete with a plastic bumper surrounding the top half of the appliance, it measures 12.8 x 12.8 x 2.85 inches / 32.5 x 32.5 x 7. 2cm ( h x w x d). This is a relatively compact robot vacuum, which means it had few issues navigating under furniture with low clearance. While more expensive robot vacuums use lasers and other technologies to map out the area to clean, the RoboVac G30 Edge is less precise. It still builds up a map but does it on the fly, every time it cleans. It does this by sensing its immediate surroundings using infrared and gently bumping into obstacles as it cleans. I was looking to get either the G10 Hybrid or the G30 Hybrid models. I am a bit unclear on how exactly the mapping function works in both of these.
