About this deal

Well that was the case with this Rustoleum Outdoor Fabric Paint; I was so curious to see just how good it was and now I get to share the results with you guys.

Thank you Melissa, I have an expensive sofa thats in great condition in my living room, the color is white and I had been thinking about having it painted a light gray with fabric spray. Spraying the chair and the cushion a solid color can totally update the look and give a set you are considering getting rid of a new life! Let the paint dry completely over three days, then check to make sure your paint adheres to the fabric. I do think this paint could work for an indoor couch as long as you don’t mind it being a bit stiff. One downside is I did need to do three full coats of paint plus touch ups around the seams of the cushions to get good enough coverage to cover the bright pattern well.Change country: -Select- Afghanistan Albania Algeria American Samoa Andorra Angola Anguilla Antigua and Barbuda Argentina Armenia Aruba Australia Austria Azerbaijan Republic Bahamas Bahrain Bangladesh Belarus Belgium Belize Benin Bermuda Bhutan Bolivia Bosnia and Herzegovina Botswana Brazil British Virgin Islands Brunei Darussalam Bulgaria Burkina Faso Burundi Cambodia Cameroon Canada Cape Verde Islands Cayman Islands Central African Republic Chad Chile China Colombia Comoros Cook Islands Costa Rica Cyprus Czech Republic Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) Democratic Republic of the Congo Denmark Djibouti Dominica Dominican Republic Ecuador Egypt El Salvador Equatorial Guinea Eritrea Estonia Ethiopia Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas) Fiji Finland France Gabon Republic Gambia Georgia Germany Ghana Gibraltar Greece Greenland Grenada Guam Guatemala Guernsey Guinea Guinea-Bissau Guyana Haiti Honduras Hong Kong Hungary Iceland India Indonesia Iraq Ireland Italy Jamaica Japan Jersey Jordan Kazakhstan Kenya Kiribati Kuwait Kyrgyzstan Laos Latvia Lebanon Lesotho Liberia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Macau Macedonia Madagascar Malawi Malaysia Maldives Mali Malta Marshall Islands Mauritania Mauritius Mayotte Mexico Micronesia Moldova Monaco Mongolia Montenegro Montserrat Morocco Mozambique Namibia Nauru Nepal Netherlands Netherlands Antilles New Zealand Nicaragua Niger Nigeria Niue Norway Oman Pakistan Palau Panama Papua New Guinea Paraguay Peru Philippines Poland Portugal Puerto Rico Qatar Republic of Croatia Republic of the Congo Romania Rwanda Saint Helena Saint Kitts-Nevis Saint Lucia Saint Pierre and Miquelon Saint Vincent and the Grenadines San Marino Saudi Arabia Senegal Serbia Seychelles Sierra Leone Singapore Slovakia Slovenia Solomon Islands Somalia South Africa South Korea Spain Sri Lanka Suriname Swaziland Sweden Switzerland Taiwan Tajikistan Tanzania Thailand Togo Tonga Trinidad and Tobago Tunisia Turkey Turkmenistan Turks and Caicos Islands Tuvalu Uganda United Arab Emirates United Kingdom United States Uruguay Uzbekistan Vanuatu Vatican City State Vietnam Virgin Islands (U. It is important to bear in mind that there are a number of terms that refer to a fabrics ability to stay dry.

When it comes to any exterior surface, whether it be masonry, roof tiles, wood or fabric, water and moisture is its biggest enemy. The paint is permanent, fast-drying, and safe to wash and dry (it is recommended to wait 72 hours before washing). Not all fabric is made the same, with thousand of different variations, so test a small, discrete area first. A. Yes, it can be used to paint clothes and all other items of fabric such as sofas, shoes and soft furnishings. The high breathability of Emperor Exterior Fabric Waterproofer means that any moisture in the cushions will be able to breathe out after treatment, but it is still important to ensure they are dry as possible to allow the treatment to do its job.

But the texture was a lot more stiff than I would have liked and the paint wasn’t able to completely cover the floral pattern. This was just my experience if you have had any better luck with spraying outdoor fabric please let me know in the comments. One big difference between this outdoor fabric spray paint and other spray paints is you need to wait 30 minutes between coats to allow the paint to fully dry. This project was inspired by another post somewhere out there on the internet of someone who revived their faded and discolored patio umbrella with regular spray paint and they loved how it turned out. It was even able to fully cover that bright green and white leaf print and you can’t see any trace of the lighter and darker areas of the fabric. And as much as I wanted this to be a great inexpensive solution for saving faded outdoor cushions, it just didn’t quite hit the mark. When you are finished, turn the can of spray paint upside down and spray it for a few seconds until it runs clear.

The flexible coat ensures the finished decorating project doesn’t crack when the material is flexed, leading to a longer lasting finish for your upcycling project.Any moisture in the fabric can impact how the product dries and thus how it will perform moving forward. It is inevitable that you won’t be able to unstick every fibre so immediately after application the fabric may feel slightly stiffer.
